about

This album is part of the soundtrack of "Querida Gala" project.
“Querida Gala” (QG) is a choreographic project that aims to bring back some aspects of Elena Diákonova's life, which went down in history with the simple name of Gala.
She, a woman with a mysterious past, a masked woman with a well-invented character, a fascinating paradox, who has become the vehicle of a narrative that keeps afloat the taste for unfinished stories.
Gala was a seductive but slippery woman who remained on the margins of her talent to take second place to the artistic and cultural attention of her time. Yet the personality that appears in the
works that have immortalized her is well
distinct.
Inspirer of several surrealist poets
of the early twentieth century Parisian, she was
she marries of Paul Éluard with whom she in
1919 she joined the circle
artistic by André Breton, writer of the
Manifesto of Surrealism.
At the time everyone was fascinated by
Gala who, in addition to playing the role of
inspirer and collaborator of her husband,
she was on close terms with each
member of the group, much to be
portrayed as the only female in Au
rendezvous des amis, painting by Max
Ernst of 1922 depicting the club
Parisian of the Surrealists.
In 1929 she met Salvador Dalí,
then only twenty-five and just starting out
of his career. For the two it was love a
first sight; the meeting with Gala, described in detail in My secret life, marked the beginning of a love relationship that accompanied both throughout their lives.
